Marnus Labuschagne Dropped from Australian One-Day International Lineup Versus Team India
The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from the three-game ODI series versus India, as high-performing Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw earning a unexpected selection.
Recent Form Lead to Omission
Labuschagne has been omitted from the ODI squad after managing only a single run in both of his innings during the recent series against South Africa in August. Labuschagne has a top score of 47 in his last 10 ODI innings.
Labuschagne has featured in 68 ODIs and accumulated 1,871 ODI runs at an batting average of 34.64 runs per dismissal, but will now focus on earning a Test team comeback in time for the Ashes beginning in Perth on November 21.
Renshaw's Return and Other Squad Updates
Labuschagne has shown signs of a return to form with a score of 160 for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield this week, while Renshaw also hit a hundred for the Bulls in the identical match against Tasmania.

“The majority of the T20 squad will stay as a group as it’s an important period in the preparation for the T20 World Cup next year, however we are aiming to find equilibrium to ensure we simultaneously get ready specific players for the Test matches ahead.”
Australia’s three-game ODI series against India commences on 19 October in Perth, before the opponents play five T20 internationals from 29 October.
