Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A chopper hovering above a popular California coastline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Videos uploaded on the internet depict the aircraft starting to spin over the beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were rushed to the hospital comprising two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
